The bishop gave a brief narrative of the humble beginnings of JRS in Maban, and the Monsignor encouraged the staff members that it is finally certain passion and love in service of the poor is what impels us all to be here.

On Sunday morning the Monsignor met with the three priests where they shared their joys and pains. He, a humble unassuming man demonstrated deep listening and encouraged them to be rooted in prayer as a source of strength in this challenging ministry and place. He quoted the biblical image of Mary visiting Elizabeth saying “We are here to bring Jesus, his love, and everything else is secondary”
